Walther Flender GmbH was founded in September 1935. Over the course of 90 years, the company has evolved from a distributor of wooden pulleys to a manufacturer of application-optimized timing belt drives of the highest technical standard. Having grown steadily, it is now one of the market leaders in timing belt drives and consistently works with its customers to find the optimal solution for every individual application.
Walther Flender operates five production sites in Europe and Asia. There are three German production sites in Düsseldorf, Renningen, and Alsleben, as well as sites in the Czech Republic and China.
The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. At its Düsseldorf headquarters, Walther Flender also received an EcoVadis Silver rating. In addition, the company’s sustainability management is guided by, among other things, ISO 26000 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Since March 1, 2024, Walther Flender GmbH has been led by Ralf Neumann and Wolfram Schäfer.
Walther Flender offers elastomer and polyurethane synchronous belts, high-performance timing belts, molded timing belts, and cut-to-length belts for linear and lifting drives, as well as custom-machined conveyor timing belts. The selection is always based on the specific application and the desired service life.
