Sustainability at Walther Flender –
Responsibility for today and tomorrow
Responsibility for today and tomorrow
For us, sustainability is not just a reporting obligation, but an integral part of our actions. We continuously optimize our production processes, reduce resource consumption, and increasingly rely on energy-efficient technologies and alternative energies. We use resource-saving consumables and select suppliers who work sustainably and responsibly. Social responsibility is equally important to us: we stand for fair working conditions, respect for human rights, and ethical, transparent cooperation. This is how we create sustainable solutions – ecologically, economically, and socially.
Responsible use of materials
Our Material Compliance department ensures that all materials used comply with our legal obligations and meet the highest standards of environmental and product safety.
We have provided our existing declarations on RoHS, REACH, PFOS, PFAS, POP, TSCA, conflict minerals, and CP65 for your reference.
Certified quality management
Walther Flender GmbH is fully certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015, thus meeting one of the highest internationally recognized quality standards. This certification confirms our consistent commitment to structured processes, maximum precision, and continuous improvement in all areas of the company.
Impressive proof of this is our excellent complaint rate of only 0.85% – a figure that underlines our reliability and the high quality of our products and services.
Fair and respectful conduct
Our Code of Conduct and our Corporate Ethics Guidelines describe the fundamental values and standards of conduct that shape our daily actions and ensure responsible, fair, and respectful interaction with one another.
Ecological footprint
We are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint. To this end, we are focusing specifically on the use of renewable energies, innovative technologies, and energy-efficient machines.
In order to monitor the success of our measures, we determine our greenhouse gas emissions with the support of ecocockpit.
Renewable energies
Back in 2005, we began converting our buildings to alternative energies such as photovoltaics and geothermal energy.
All three German machine parks are powered entirely by certified green electricity.
Transparent sustainability assessment
To make our high standards of responsible and sustainable business practices measurable, we have our company regularly audited by recognized sustainability platforms. Both EcoVadis and IntegrityNext assess our performance in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance. These independent assessments help us to continuously visualize our progress and consistently develop our sustainability strategy.
